How to access WordPress files (POA)

There are many ways to manage a WordPress site. For most people doing most of the work within the WordPress Dashboard is enough but for more advanced users who like to have access to the actual WordPress files themselves here is how you access them when you install WordPress through our Application Vault.

  1. Connect to your site using FTP. You will find your FTP login information within your
Customer Control Panel > Websites Tab > Click the website in question > Click Web Hosting Settings. Use the information under FTP Configuration.

  1. Once you’re connected via FTP you will navigate to the siteapps folder. Within this location you will find a folder named WordPress-xxxx, where xxxx displays the application ID number. If you have multiple WordPress installations you can click the Applications Tab > WordPress to view the Application ID number so you know which folder to access via FTP.

  1. After you have identified the correct application ID number, navigate to that folder within the siteapps directory. Here you will find a directory called htdocs. When you navigate inside the htdocs directory you will find the contents of your WordPress site.
