How to change your settings in your browser to see the specific ASP error.

To see the ASP error and not 500 server error do the following:

 In Internet Explorer: 

1. Select Tools, then Internet Options

 2.  Advanced Tab

 3. Go to the Browsing section

 4. UNCHECK "Show friendly HTTP error messages"

This will then allow you to view the actually ASP error.

In Firefox:


1. Open up a new tab (CTRL+T) or window (CTRL+N).


2. Type in de addressbar: about:config.


3. In the filterbar type: error and press enter.


4. Now set the value of the ‘browser.xul.error_pages.enabled‘ to ‘true‘. Double clicking will do.


5. Restart Firefox.
