Working with Domains Hosted in Parallels Plesk Panel

Main operations with domains hosted on Parallels Plesk Panel are performed from the All Domains screen, which is common for all domains created under all your Subscriptions.

To manage your domains, select All Domains from the Subscription selector located at the top of the Customer Control Panel screen.

When a domain is added in the CP, the DNS zone is created on the DNS servers managed by the CP.

When the Parallels Plesk Panel hosting is added on the domain, this domain is created in the appropriate Parallels Plesk Panel instance and the DNS zone is also created on the DNS server managed by the Parallels Plesk Panel instance.

Then, the DNS servers managed by the CP synchronize DNS records with the Parallels Plesk Panel DNS server.

For example, there is the example.com domain with the Parallels Plesk Panel hosting.

If the subdomain1.example.com subdomain without a DNS hosting is added in the Parallels Plesk Panel instance, the appropriate DNS records appear on the DNS servers managed by the CP.

In other cases, you should manually configure the DNS resolving.

For example, there is the example.com domain with the Parallels Plesk Panel hosting.

If the example.com Domain Alias or the subdomain2.example.com subdomain with a DNS hosting is added in the Parallels Plesk Panel instance, the appropriate DNS zone is not created on the PA DNS servers and the DNS zone is created on the Parallels Plesk Panel DNS server only.

You should manually configure the DNS resolving for the created Domain Alias or subdomain with a DNS hosting.
